These past couple of weeks i really been thinking about how much i really communicate with people thru tmail, myspace, twitter, text etc etc. and its crazy! Like i wont even answer my phone, i will forward to voicemail then text them. And i was just thinking me coming from a long distance relationship history i use to live off the phone now i dont even spend over 5 minutes on the phone its crazy. And i was kind thinking how much i really use to miss being on the phone. So i said ima start having like 10 minute conversations with friends randomly.
Like the best would be the late night converstations, but now there is so much competition with having a good conversation late night, you have all these dope blogs, dope websites, video games is poppin', not to mentions the competition of other people to conversate with so for the person to really pay attention on the phone. So the phone grind is real these days, especially when i am a in-person person. So i was just really curious
Does anyone really have real conversations on the phone these days??
I have real conversations... Just not by "talking". It's overrated. I'd rather text, that way I can end a conversation when I want. But I've realized that a "text convo"can last HOURS even days, talking about nothing LOL. And sweetie "conversate" is not a word! ;)

damn you hit home with this one. i have to agree with you tho, i just dont spend that much time talkin on the phone anymore unless its my parents calling or someone callin from a house phone. im a text n aim person.
ReplyDeletebut i do miss the late nite phone convos i use to have. i think i miss it more with the male counterpart because its nice when you have feelings for someone that he or she is the last person you speak to b4 going to sleep. but i will say i am slowly trying to make my way back to the "phone convos" lol
Hmmm... I have to really be interested. I am soooooooooooo any phone. It has to be a good story from my girls (in which they text me 1st and say so) or a dude's like 1st phone convo. Keeping me on the phone is a fucking art! LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... but yeah it still happens.

i have learned it's not good to have any sort of serious talk via text im and of that shit..words get twisted..things read shit wrong..and emotions really can't be felt texting like they can thru real words..sometimes..i miss talking on the phone too..*

if you're going to start conversing via the phone again, i hope you have chosen to brush up on your "small talk' skills to avoid the long silent pauses that can occur from time to time
ReplyDeleteI think people dont talk on the phone anymore because they're always multi-tasking. I'm a phone person. I only text because thats what ppl do to me. I think to try to get to know someone thru text is rude. You dont get to really know the person & their sense of humor or whatev & sarcasm is totally lost. In terms of romance, if you really like someone, you'll take the time to talk to them on the phone.
