MARCUS WILLIAMS SIGNS TO THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

[USA TODAY] MEMPHIS (AP) — The Memphis Grizzlies have signed free agent point guard Marcus Williams, (FSY) adding depth to their backcourt.
Williams, a three-year NBA veteran, has averaged 6.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 141 games with the New Jersey Nets and Golden State Warriors, where he played last season.
In the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas last month, he averaged 13.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists in helping lead the Grizzlies to a 5-0 record.
Williams made the 2006-07 NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
The Grizzlies' roster now stands at 12.
