So I went hard with presenting them to try to get them signed, i was hounding Sickamore about these dudes, maybe aiming at atlantic record for them. Chances were slim, because atlantic not too big on ACTS like this. So i just kept in contact the Chuck(one on the left) and the manager at the time Nelson. Always followed up with them, went to a few shows, hounding Chuck for beats etc. Then one day, i got my chance, i got the email to set up the meeting for Asylum Records to sit down with them.
But this when it got ugly, i remember i think i was VA setting up the meeting thru my blackberry because they were in NYC. If you work in the music business or nyc period you know everything is done thru emails on the blackberry. So i got in touch with them they gave the time they could make it. So boom, the meeting is official. If it went thru, i could be seeing some major guap. Speed up, the time had came and No Cool kids were not found. Im getting calls from Sickamore, Aslyum President, and whoever else CC'd in the emails. So i got in touch with Nelson like "Whats good, what happen with the meeting"? Hes apologizes and stated his phone died and they were recording something with Mick Boogie. So i sent the reply back to the office

(I took their emails out for personal reasons)
So fast forward, next day came, they ended up flying back i believe there was a storm in nyc or something, and it never went thru. So boy i was pissed. It kind of made me look bad for Asylum & Sickamore but thats the nature of the business. I took it, i was fresh in the game & learned alot from that experience. I knew it didnt matter on they part, they had many big labels on their heels. But i still kept in contact because im a fan anyway.
But check them out if you not familiar..here are 2 new tracks

Nigga Please
If it knocks let it rock
